Theater am Park

Anyone who unwittingly overhears conversations on the train, at their favorite bar, or while randomly channel-surfing through reality TV shows inevitably wonders whether our society is getting dumber and dumber. These days, TV content is as shallow as the devices used to watch it. Yes, wit is cool. And maybe even a little cooler than it used to be. In an age when self-appointed guardians of humor and morality decide what’s funny and what isn’t, Özgür Cebe stands up to the backlash and sets out to discover the reason behind this hypersensitivity.

In his award-winning cabaret show “Geist ist geil,” Özgür Cebe combines incisive social commentary with biting humor. Amid shallow TV shows, oversensitive moral guardians, and artificial intelligence, he asks whether common sense has had its day. With incisive observations, satirical jabs, and a genuine love of performance, Cebe takes aim at the absurdities of our time. It’s all about humor, social debates, and the question of what really matters in life—beyond algorithms and Instagram posts. A witty evening full of humor, surprising perspectives, and spot-on punchlines.
