Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald e. V.

The Colorado Park Adventure Playground transforms into an “Otherworld”; fairy tales are told around the campfire, and there’s a large-scale dance-theater performance by antagon theaterAKTion. For 27 years now, the Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald e. V. association has been organizing the eerily beautiful spectacle “Lichterzauber – Anderswelt” (Magic of Lights – Another World), enchanting the eyes and senses as darkness falls. Fairy tales are told by the light of the bonfire, and “antagon-theater AKTion” will be a highlight of the event with its unique dance-theater performance. This spectacle was developed exclusively for the “Lichterzauber” event and will be presented only once on this evening. Out of this world, yet down-to-earth and hearty, food and drinks will be offered at various stands. The team at the Colorado Park Adventure Playground invites you to let your imagination run wild, dress up, and contribute to the colorful atmosphere of “Lichterzauber”!

Where the territory of the Dornbuschlers borders that of the Ginnheimers, in the shadow of Frankfurt’s largest totem pole—namely, the TV Tower—lies the Colorado Park adventure playground, a social-educational facility. Here you’ll find the tiniest sequoias, the smallest Grand Canyon, a real stagecoach, wooden horses with a stable, and a rocket with a roller slide just like at Cape Canaveral. Here, a children’s world is being built to remind us that American kids lived and played in the neighborhood’s former housing areas for decades. On hot summer days, the water play area invites children to splash around, cool off, build bridges, and, of course, have water fights. In one of the many streams, kids build dams; in another, they set off on grand voyages in mini-canoes.
