The U.S. is gradually drifting away from Europe, and Asia is inexorably drawing closer. Korea is coming! K-Pop is coming! Kimchi is coming! Kim is coming, too. With his first solo show. He’s an actor (appearing in “Tatort,” “Die Friseuse,” “St. Pauli Nacht,” “Ninja Assassin,” among others), a host, and a true-blue Cologne native. His parents are from South Korea. The adventures of Ill-Young Kim—who is traveling through Germany to explore new depths—are fresh off the press and authentic. Light-years away from his home planet “Korea,” Kim ventures into galaxies that no human has ever experienced on stage before. He draws on hair-raising experiences he has daily as a German with an Asian appearance. In the process, the true-blue Cologne native is mistaken for the North Korean dictator. Chaos breaks out at the Chinese restaurant. And Kim loves to eat dogs anyway.

With casual charm, Ill-Young Kim presents his spicy take on things and in the process debunks many a prejudice.
