Romanfabrik e.V.

FÄZZ on Friday, the concert series presented by the Frankfurt Jazz Collective FÄZZ at the ROMANFABRIK, welcomes a figure who has had a particularly significant impact on the series: Hendrika Entzian. The Cologne-based composer, arranger, and double bassist has previously collaborated with the hr Big Band, the NDR Big Band, the WDR Big Band, and the Metropol Orchestra. Her own projects, including a jazz orchestra, have earned her nominations for the German Jazz Prize and the ECHO Jazz Award. Since 2025, she has been a professor of jazz arrangement and composition in Mannheim.

As a visiting professor and director of the Big Band master’s program, she once taught members of FÄZZ. Now they meet as equals: With its in-house big band, FÄZZ brings her compositions and arrangements to life.
