PalmenGarten Frankfurt am Main

Since its founding in 1868, the Palmengarten has been a popular destination in the heart of Frankfurt. Exotic palm trees and cacti in the greenhouses brought botanical diversity to the city on the Main even back then and continue to delight visitors to this day. In addition to the flora in the sprawling grounds, the lake with its rowboats is also a charming attraction. Various playgrounds (including water play areas in the summer) and dining options offer the whole family a little getaway right in the middle of the big city.

From October through mid-April, it’s butterfly season at the Butterfly House.
