Alte Oper Frankfurt

The Alte Oper captures the vibe of the big city and transforms it into a program that is no less dazzling and vibrant: “Alte Oper Nights” is the name of the festival, newly introduced last season, which is as diverse, lively, modern, and accessible as Frankfurt itself. Over the course of three days, the festival welcomes artists and ensembles who are eager to “join in” when it comes to unorthodox programs, cross-genre collaborations, and thinking outside the box.

Oct. 14 – Cello Octet Amsterdam, Kinan Azmeh (clarinet), Repercussion, Bartolomey Bittmann, Sorvina (vocals), Martynas Levickis (accordion), sonic.art Saxophone Quartet

Oct. 15 – Richard Galliano (accordion), Omer Klein (piano), The Poetics, GraceNelly (vocals), Kinga Glyk (electric bass), Irek Glyk (vibraphone, drums), Repercussion, Momi Maiga (kora, vocals), Cello Octet Amsterdam

Oct. 16 – Kinga Glyk (electric bass), Nesrine (cello), Repercussion, Mae.Sun, Hailey Niswanger (saxophone), deep strings, Apollo5

On all three days, talks curated by the non-profit Hertie Foundation will round out the program.
