In the Summer of Love of 1967, a band was formed that would, in the years to come, take the world on a musical journey filled with swirling sounds, mystical sonic orgies, psychedelic soundscapes, and crimson swaths of light: Pink Floyd. Already on their debut album, *The Piper at the Gates of Dawn*, the four Englishmen showed with their experimental instrumental piece “Interstellar Overdrive” where the journey would lead.

Thirty years later—in the summer of 1997: “Interstellar Overdrive” takes physical form in the form of the Wiesbaden-based band of the same name. Initially considered an insider’s tip, the band evolved over the following years into a truly unique experience. The six musicians have made it their mission to captivate their audience with the mystical, otherworldly sounds of Pink Floyd. Time and again, they embark on a journey through time and space with many fans of Floyd’s art—many of whom have traveled great distances—and breathe new life into the music of the masters of psychedelic rock. With great attention to detail and a love for the music, Interstellar Overdrive has dedicated itself to the Floyds’ now-classic repertoire. Numerous works, from *The Piper at the Gates of Dawn* to the 1979 album *The Wall*, can be experienced at every concert by these Pink Floyd tribute artists. With great dedication, they perform entire albums such as “Dark Side of the Moon,” “Animals,” or “Wish You Were Here” in their entirety. The lighting, tailored to the music, allows the audience to immerse themselves in the warm atmosphere of this magnificent music and gently float above the ground for a few hours.
