Three veterans of the ’68 generation meet again today and reminisce about their wild days in 1968: Eddy and Rollin compete for Susi’s attention with their singing talents; Susi, with her constant changes of heart, keeps bringing a breath of fresh air to the old rehearsal basement, while her overbearing mother, wielding a wooden spoon, urges them to study. They meet once more in 1981: Rollin has just returned from Ireland, Eddie is back from India, and Susi is working on a compost worm farm in her commune. Through meditation, spiritual music, and tarot, Eddie and Susi try to heal Rollin, who seems too “materialistic” to them… In the end, the three meet again in the present.

“68er Spätlese” is a tribute to those wild times, brimming with live-sung, catchy tunes about freedom, justice, and love.
