In a dystopian future, humanity lives underground in single-person living units. An all-knowing machine regulates daily life, monitors every action, and replaces physical needs such as social interaction. The system seems perfect—until music researcher Vashti learns from her son Kuno that he has illegally visited the Earth’s surface. His discovery throws the entire system into turmoil and triggers serious malfunctions. The machine comes to a standstill, and civilization collapses. Only Kuno’s discovery holds the hope of a fresh start.
