Opera Classica

Under the theme “The Most Beautiful Arias and Duets by Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini,” an Italian opera night will take place in front of the Kammerburg estate. The most famous operas come from Italy, and many other operas are also written in Italian. Whether it’s Verdi’s “La Traviata,” Puccini’s “Tosca,” or Rossini’s “Barbiere di Siviglia”—Italy is commonly referred to as the birthplace of opera and is, of course, also the home of “bel canto,” or “beautiful singing.” In probably no other country in the world do opera lovers encounter such a wealth of timelessly beautiful melodies, associated with so many famous names. The music of Gioacchino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini, Giuseppe Verdi, and Giacomo Puccini offers insights into the Italian way of life with all its emotions and thus exerts a great fascination on opera lovers.

International opera soloists, together with the winners of the Romana Vaccaro Singing Competition and the Opera Classica Europa orchestra, will present a concert evening of the very finest caliber. Attendees of this concert will also have the opportunity to discover a “true gem of the Rheingau,” as the Kammerburg estate is surrounded by a romantic park that is perfect for enjoying a wonderful live concert under the open sky.
