Kultur in Bad Vilbel

The medieval moated castle, located in the heart of Bad Vilbel on the banks of the Nidda River, is once again offering a diverse program this season in a historic, rustic setting. On August 30 at 12:00 p.m., the historic castle will be transformed into a stage for first-class big band jazz:

The Hesse State Youth Jazz Orchestra (LJJO) invites you to the “Latin Fever” concert—a summery jazz treat for the whole family. Under the musical direction of Ed Partyka, an internationally sought-after conductor, composer, and trombonist, the Kicks & Sticks and Kicks-Voices of the LJJO Hessen will present a lively program full of fiery rhythms. The program will feature pieces such as “Oclupaca” by Duke Ellington, “Con Alma” by Dizzy Gillespie, and “Nica’s Dream” by Horace Silver. Look forward to these and many more Latin arrangements. Whether you’re a die-hard jazz fan or a curious concertgoer, “Latin Fever” promises a thrilling listening experience for all generations.
