Open-air yet covered—at this year’s Summer Concert Series at the Hanau Amphitheater, many stars will once again deliver atmospheric concerts:

Accomplished orchestral musicians, a professional rock quartet, and versatile top vocal soloists will perform famous rock and pop hits with a wide-range sound that is both rich and nuanced. Perfect for this XXL-scale sound arrangement are audience favorites such as “Highway Star” (Deep Purple), “Music” (John Miles), “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” (Chicago), “Proud Mary” (Ike & Tina Turner), and “Viva La Vida” (Coldplay). At the heart of the “Symphonic Rock in Concert” shows is the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt. The 50-piece orchestra, based in Hanau, enjoys an international reputation. In the past, it has accompanied, among others, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Roger Hodgson (formerly of Supertramp), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), John Cale (formerly of The Velvet Underground), Gregory Porter, and, last year, none other than Robbie Williams at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. A concentrated display of talent that all the musicians showcase as part of their well-crafted original production!
