Caro Trischler specializes in soft, haunting melodies that flow effortlessly in English and Portuguese. She sings Brazilian music by João Gilberto and Elis Regina with the same conviction and passion as she does folk and jazz in the style of Joni Mitchell. Her debut album, *North e Sul* (2020), was a collection of selected favorite pieces by her and pianist Ulf Kleiner. Her second album, *When You Know You Know* (May 2025), consists of her own compositions. In doing so, Caro Trischler remained true to her unusual mix of genres and her very own distinctive style.
In addition to Ulf Kleiner on the Rhodes—known for his work with bands such as Fola Dada, Joo Kraus, and DePhazz—the Caro Trischler Trio is rounded out by her longtime collaborator Max Jentzen on drums. With his subtle “Reisigbesen” sound, he is also a sought-after sideman and, like Kleiner, a lecturer at the Mainz University of Music.
Featuring: Caro Trischler (vocals, guitar), Ulf Kleiner (Rhodes, keys), and Max Jentzen (drums).
