Anna Schäfer: Sleeping Dogs – Comedy at the Theater am Park, Bad Nauheim – 2-for-1 Tickets
Just think of all the things that can happen during a crazy, sleepless night! Marie, the play’s main character, knows the problem all too well. Like so many people, she has trouble sleeping because she can’t stop her thoughts. That’s why, at night, all her strange and hilarious ideas—the ones she’s always wanted to share with her friends, her enemies, and the whole world—regularly pop into her head. Anna Schäfer slips into a wide variety of roles in the blink of an eye, singing, acting, and dissecting our everyday lives with plenty of wit and enthusiasm. Personal, political, and incisive, the result is a portrait of our times that’s as funny as it is satirical—surprising, musical, and full of energy. An evening of laughter, reflection, and recognition!
Anna Schäfer, known from the TV show “Knallerfrauen,” captivates audiences with a brilliant solo performance that blends cabaret, comedy, and theater. She is supported by playwright and Grimme Award winner Dietmar Jacobs (including *Stromberg*, *Mord mit Aussicht*, *Extra 3*, *Heute Show*), director Hans Holzbecher (award-winning satire director, including productions for theater and musicals such as *West Side Story* and *Jekyll & Hyde*), and by composer Jochen Kilian (music director at numerous municipal and state theaters, including the Theater des Westens in Berlin, as a composer and arranger).
