Hendrik Brehmer doesn’t set out to explain the world—he couldn’t do that anyway. But he shows just how absurd it is to try to make sense of it. With dry humor, honest stories, and an eye for the absurd, he talks about his grandmother’s views, his father’s missing leg, and what it’s like to start a family in the capital as a kid from a small town in East Germany. Hendrik shows that the truth doesn’t always have to be comfortable to be funny. Real-life stories. Not Disney. In the end, Hendrik is simply trying to find a bit of serenity amid the chaos through creativity and empathy. Will he succeed?
