Do you know the Song of the Nibelungs, where the language still flows, where the hero is still blond and brave, and the battles long and bloody? From this, we want to show you the brief story of Siegfried’s life. But not from the familiar perspective, nor in its full scope. Listen, folks—today we’ll reveal what the legend usually leaves out. Listen, folks, and let us tell you what took place on the Rhine. Once, when noble warriors and wild rogues still passed their time battling in knightly castles, they would behead many a man, just so that in later days they might be praised in heroic sagas. Manliness and chivalry were to be the guiding principles for the beloved young boys of future generations, who then, covered in scars, died heroically in wars.
