The artists in the “Flamenco sin fronteras” series have been performing successfully on national and international stages for years, conveying the full spectrum of emotions—from an immediate zest for life to sorrow, loneliness, pain, and love—just like life itself. Their artistic style is deeply rooted in traditional flamenco while also being shaped by modern influences.

The “goddess” of flamenco is coming to Frankfurt! Carina was given the stage name “La Debla” by a flamenco singer in Granada right at the start of her career as a dancer. “Debla” (“goddess” in Caló, the language of the Spanish Gitanos) is the name of one of the flamenco songs performed unaccompanied—that is, without a guitar. This versatile dancer is a must-see. A native of Munich, she has lived in Seville—the heartland of flamenco—for nearly 30 years. There, she dances regularly in various tablaos, toured with “Flamenco por libre” as part of an Andalusian concert series, and presented her “Farruca forastera” as part of the supporting program for the famous Seville Flamenco Biennial.
