They’re beautiful, sharp, quirky, and highly musical—and they’ve got nerves of steel. They have to have those nerves, because who else would perform all their stage shows at the same time? There have been five of them since 2011, and some of these gems are simply too precious to be allowed to sparkle and shine only now and then. The Schönen consist of three fantastic voices and a magnificently played piano: singers and actresses Anna Krämer and Susanne Back, as well as opera diva Smaida Platais. At the keys, virtuosic and sensitive, is the master of the raised eyebrow—Stefanie Titus.
