When the oldest resident of the small village of Gromzell passes away at the age of 108, the village community is deeply shaken. Death has claimed Marie, who had managed to cheat it for so long. The mourners seek solace in God, but as death continues to take its toll, they are at a loss. Amid incense and superstition, the community searches for someone to blame for the deaths that just won’t stop. A grotesque regional novel by Dirk Bernemann that explores the depths of human nature.

The author will be accompanied musically this evening by the Jodlklub: Johanna Milz, Elisabeth Gabriel, and Liese Lyon. These three theater artists with Austrian roots will delight us with Austrian folk songs and yodels.
