Matheus Lodewijk, also known as LudoWic, combines experimental electronics, forgotten instruments, and spatial sound to create a physical, cinematic soundscape. For “Nunc Stans,” he spent four months in near-total isolation composing pieces about transience, memory, and time. At the center are the rare Trautonium and the Ondes Martenot—early electronic instruments that are reimagined here in a contemporary context. Live, the music is created in real time using analog instruments, tape echoes, and resonant speakers.
