With their new concert program, “For a Better World,” Giora Feidman—the now 90-year-old Argentine clarinetist and instrumental soloist in Klezmer music—and Iranian composer Majid Montazer are opening another significant chapter in their artistic collaboration. Following the successful programs “Friendship” and “Revolution of Love,” they continue to spread their musical message: a passionate plea for peace, humanity, and hope. More than 150,000 concertgoers have experienced the programs to date—impressive proof of the emotional power and international appeal of this extraordinary vision. “He writes. I play. That is our mission,” says Giora Feidman, summing it up perfectly: Montazer’s compositions form the foundation of the concert series. They combine classical structures with Persian timbres, spiritual depth, and cultural openness—a sonic cosmos tailor-made for his clarinet. Together, they carry this music out into the world—as an emotional statement for understanding and reconciliation.

The concert takes place in the picturesque neo-Baroque St. Marien Church in Offenbach, built between 1911 and 1913, which, in addition to a historic organ from the Klais workshop, boasts the deepest-sounding and heaviest bells in the Diocese of Mainz.
