The last days of summer are upon us, but in our “SUMMER JOYS” section, you’ll still find great events and dining options that let you enjoy late summer to the fullest once again. In the final days of August, last-minute visitors can attend the 20th Inter-Celtic Folk Festival in Hofheim; the GALERIA at the Hauptwache is hosting “Summer Night Shopping” tonight; and visitors to the Museumsuferfest can get a free drink this weekend at the bar in the JOURNAL FRANKFURT area by presenting a printed voucher.

September kicks off with dreamy indie-folk by Tiger Finkel at the historic Villa Rothschild, heavy metal on board the MetalBoot on the Main River, Schlager by Olaf der Flipper at the Jahrhunderthalle, rock by Manfred Mann’s Earth at the Hanau Amphitheater, cult hits from the Neue Deutsche Welle by Markus and Geier Sturzflug at the Frankfurt Oktoberfest, as well as the Riviera Festival for pop and club culture along the banks of the Main in Offenbach.

With the onset of fall, the new season also kicks off in theaters and concert halls with a diverse and colorful program. And the SKYLINERS basketball team and the Löwen Frankfurt hockey team are both ready to face their opponents in the new season. Fall flavors will be on full display at the apple wine tasting with an organic snack at the Obsthof am Steinberg.
