The story is old and has been told a thousand times. A young girl, generous and good-natured, called Cinderella, is mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsister and exploited as a maid. With the help of magic witch hazels, she finally ends up at the royal ball and in the arms of the coveted prince. The famous film by Czech master director Václav Vorlícek has fascinated millions of European viewers with its popular love story since 1973.

It is one of the most beautiful fairy tale adaptations: "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" brings back childhood memories for the grown-ups, and the little ones of today are quickly infected by this enthusiasm. Christian Berg and Mirko Bott have brought the story by Czech author Božena Nemcová to the stage - as a musical for the whole family. In the stage adaptation, the story is told from the perspective of Valentin, a stablehand who works for Cinderella's stepmother.
