Organ matinée for Pentecost with Andreas Boltz - in Frankfurt Cathedral - 2for1 tickets
The monthly 30-minute organ matinées at lunchtime in the Imperial Cathedral have become a firm fixture in Frankfurt's musical calendar. Organist Andreas Boltz plays on the cathedral organ with its 116 stops and around 9000 pipes, making it the largest organ system in Hesse. The program this time includes the following works:
Camille Saint-Saëns (1835 - 1921): Feria Pentecostes (from: 7 Improvisations op. 150)
Gottfried August Homilius (1714 - 1785): Trio on "Komm, Heilger Geist"
Jean Titelouze (1563 - 1633): Veni Creator Spiritus (4 versets)
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750): Come, God Creator, Holy Spirit BWV 667
Charles Tournemire (1870 - 1939): Fantaisie - Choral "Veni Sancte Spiritus" (from: "L'Orgue mystique" No. 25, Office de la Pentecôte
