As writers, bohemians and anti-fascists, they had an extraordinarily close relationship - characterized by exile, restlessness and artistic collaboration. Stages of their lives lead through Europe and the USA, accompanied by successes and disruptions. While Klaus Mann became famous with works such as "Mephisto" and died in 1949, Erika Mann shaped the exile cabaret "Die Pfeffermühle" and was a versatile author and journalist. This scenic approach paints an intense portrait of two extraordinary artistic personalities
