"Dota" sees itself as a collective around Dota Kehr - together with her band, they create multi-layered arrangements between lightness and depth. Songs such as "Einfach zu abgelenkt" or "Kettenkarussell" combine summery sounds with social reflection and subtle irony. The singer/songwriter presents a new album - familiar in sound and at the same time surprisingly new, more minimalist and rich in contrast. The songs seem like an introduction and yet consistently continue the previous development. Inspired by the poetry of Mascha Kaléko, the lyrics are more direct, searching and emotionally condensed.
