The Israeli pianist and composer Sharon Mansur combines influences from progressive rock, electronic music and global sound traditions with a deep expressiveness in her playing. Her style is at once lyrical, energetic and playfully experimental - a mixture that makes her one of the most exciting voices of a new, cross-genre jazz generation.

Together with David Michaeli on double bass and Aviv Cohen on drums, Mansur forms a trio that impresses with its great alertness and fine communication. The warm, precise bass and the dynamic, flexible drums create a foundation on which Mansur opens up wide sound spaces on the piano and synthesizer: sometimes powerful and rhythmically interlocked, sometimes delicate, searching and atmospheric.
br> The trio's music thrives on contrasts - on melodic clarity and unexpected twists and turns, on electronic colors and acoustic warmth, on calm and eruptive drive. The focus is always on joint improvisation: constantly thinking ahead, reacting, reshaping.
