My little prince - Theater im Theater t-raum, Offenbach - 2for1-Tickets
My Little Prince", freely adapted from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, will be performed in the small living room theater in the t-raum. Sarah C. Baumann performs her version of the "Little Prince" as a gripping and profoundly poetic solo, in which she brings all the characters of the story to the stage herself, vividly, seriously, with a twinkle in her eye and occasionally also comedically.
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: a fairy tale for adults? A family play to watch at Christmas when contemplation is in order? Sarah C. Baumann plays and tells the world-famous story from a different perspective to the one we are used to: The aviatrix, a grown-up person, living life to the full, dies of thirst from loneliness. In the heat of the desert and the draining consequences of the lack of water, she remembers her deep longings and encounters figures in dream-like worlds who seem to have arisen from her fears and nightmares and who oppress her. But she also becomes curious and, alongside questions as to whether this is reality and whether human coexistence under the stars must be exactly the same, visions and dreams also emerge as to how a different, perhaps better world could be created in which paths could be found that lead out of the desert. And the most famous quote from The Little Prince is put to the test once again: "You can only see well with your heart, the essentials are invisible to the eyes".
"My Little Prince" is an examination of repressed desires, of denied, perhaps lost and regained truths. A story about the great friend within us who shows us the world with different eyes and an open heart A fabulously evil and dreamlike, fulfilling story.
