Ruken - Singer/Songwriter at the International Theater - 2for1-Tickets
With her powerful yet intimate voice, Ruken brings fresh energy to the contemporary Kurdish music scene. Combining deeply rooted traditions with subtle modern influences, her sound invites listeners into a world that is both timeless and personal. Born in Istanbul with roots in Siirt/Eruh, she began her musical journey at a young age, performing as a singer-songwriter and composing her own songs.
Her debut solo album "Zelî" (2016) received great acclaim for its honest and subtle approach to Kurdish folk music. After a series of singles and growing success, she released her second album "Sê Çiya" in 2022. A graduate of Marmara University's Music Education program, Ruken has developed her own distinctive musical language over the years.
