Skerryvore are celebrating their 20th anniversary. The band has established itself with awards such as "Best CD", "Best Singer/Songwriter" and three times "Live Act of the Year". In 2017 they represented Visit Scotland, and in 2020/21 they topped the charts in Scotland and England. 2023 they secured the world contract with Cooking Vinyl top positions in the album charts. In 2024, they filled 14,000 fans in Glasgow and almost all the shows on the German tour were sold out.

Since time immemorial, lighthouses have been places full of mysticism and solitude. They show sailors the way to a safe harbor or let them sail around dangerous cliffs. A great inspiration for a band whose extraordinary sound and captivating regularity sends beacons of light out into the world and has been winning new fans every day for 20 years.

The sound of Skerryvore, named after the lighthouse on the Isle of Tiree in the west of Scotland, is as breathtaking as the wild and untamed island itself - home to some of the band members. Their energetic trad rock with fiddle, accordion, pipes, flutes, whistles, guitar and bagpipe is like the wild spray crashing against the cliffs. Bass, keyboards and drums add funky accents. But the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands is also part of the Skerries' music. The wonderful voice of frontman Alec Dalglish, who is also responsible for most of the songs, gets under your skin.
