The "Astronomy on Friday" series of events at Frankfurt Observatory regularly invites you to discover the fascinating world of astronomy and astrophysics. On Friday evenings, the focus is on a generally understandable lecture aimed specifically at interested laypeople and offering insights into current topics in astronomy. Even before the start, there is the opportunity to get into conversation in the AstroCorner and gather initial impressions. If the sky is clear, the observatory also opens its doors from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and allows visitors to look through the telescopes at planets, stars and distant celestial objects.
The combination of a vivid lecture and practical observation of the sky creates a special atmosphere in which scientific content is conveyed in an understandable way and the fascination of the universe can be experienced directly. The dates for the coming months will be published successively.
