Contemporary Jazz / Mumble Jazz is the quartet of Cologne-based saxophonist and bass clarinetist Big Breeezy, aka Victor Fox. The band plays songs from their latest album, Breeezy Mumble Jazz, which was released in 2023 on Boomslang Records. The quartet's music incorporates influences from various musical genres, such as Ornette Coleman, Eric Dolphy, Anthony Braxton, but also 3-6 Mafia and Notorious BIG.
Robert Landfermann, born in Bonn in 1982, is considered one of the best and most innovative European jazz bassists of his generation. He is known on the European scene as an outstanding improviser, both in the traditional jazz environment and in the experimental avant-garde scene.
