Peer, a young farmer's son, detests work and lives in a self-invented world full of fantasy. He describes his home as a palace and his boredom as an adventure. Between fantasy and reality, he increasingly entangles others in his web of lies - harmless stories become dangerous fake news. Peer strays into the realm of trolls, becomes a slave trader, cheats and is cheated, flees from creditors, wanders through deserts and finally ends up in a mental hospital - or was it all just a dream? The N.N. Theater embarks on a modern, theatrical journey through the dazzling web of Peer Gynt's identity and self-deception.
