The Frankfurt trio Jazzsalon has been "kneading" for a long time - the jazzy chansons of the great Berlin diva are an integral part of their concerts. On the occasion of her 100th birthday, there is now a whole evening of her music!
"Die Knef" was the woman who stood for change in prudish post-war Germany. In the 1960s, she celebrated record and tour success as the "greatest singer in the world without a voice" (Ella Fitzgerald). Hildegard Frieda Albertine Knef led a life like a rollercoaster between Berlin, Broadway and Hollywood. She had at least three careers - as an actress ("Die Mörder sind unter uns"), chanson singer ("Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen") and bestselling author ("Der geschenkte Gaul").
On this evening, Ev Machui will not only guide you through the eventful life of this busy artist with songs, but also with narrative anecdotes.
