Author Ricarda Junge presents her new novel "Die schönste Zeit" at this book premiere. With narrative precision and poetic clarity, the book tells of a life between care and excessive demands, origin and adaptation, anger and dignity - a novel about everyday life in the school system and the indissoluble intertwining of past and present.
At the center of the story is primary school teacher Walli Wolf: committed, contradictory, at the limit of her powers. Overcrowded classes, bureaucracy and children with too little attention characterize her everyday life. When the disappearance of a colleague awakens memories of a childhood spent in a refugee settlement in northern Germany, the legacy of migration comes to the fore that extends to the present day.
