Schiller: Betrayal, betrayal and the sun shines behind - Theater with Michael Quast, Volksbühne - 2for1-Tickets
Does Friedrich Schiller still have something to say to us in times of Trump and Putin? After all, his last play "William Tell" is about tyrannicide. And about apples...
Philipp Mosetter and Michael Quast fearlessly bring Friedrich Schiller's entire dramatic work to the stage! The apple as Schiller's life motif plays a role in this program, as does the significance of Schiller's illnesses for his works. Basically, Schiller was constantly ill. From the persistent cough in the cadet school to the final tuberculosis in Weimar, which can be beautifully illuminated by the dramas. Quast not only plays all the roles this time, he also plays all the illnesses. Mosetter diagnoses, interprets and makes suggestions for therapy. An evening that almost makes us like Schiller again.
A co-production with the Nationaltheater Mannheim for the International Schiller Days 2005 (the premiere was actually 20 years ago, but Schiller is timeless and still as fresh as on the first day).
