Die Fabrik

Three evenings full of music, encounters and spontaneous moments await visitors to the 9th Fabrik Jazz Festival - and, as always, in the best collaboration with the Jazz Initiative Frankfurt. Great musicians invite you to be surprised, inspired and moved by new sounds and by the great and important feeling of experiencing music live. This year, the concerts will take place in the St. Bonifatius concert hall in Sachsenhausen, which is now well-rehearsed and has an excellent sound.

Cellist Lars Danielsson, his long-time companion and guitarist John Parricelli and Finnish trumpeter Verneri Pohjola are three masters of European jazz who combine tradition with the joy of experimentation. A joint studio recording at Château Palmer, a world-famous historic vineyard in Bordeaux, brought the trio together.

The Brit John Parricelli is an extremely sensitive accompanist, one who knows Danielsson's way of writing and playing inside out and has a keen sense for playing exactly the right notes at the right time. The trio is completed by the velvety tone of Finnish trumpeter Verneri Pohjola.
