Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald e. V.

For the 32nd time, the Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald e.V. association is hosting the Mainspiele this year—a play event for children ages 1 to 90—on the banks of the Main in Sachsenhausen between the Eiserner Steg and the Untermainbrücke. Thirty-five supervisors will oversee 20 play stations, ranging from Frankfurt’s cleanest sandbox for toddlers to a bungee trampoline and box climbing. Children of all ages can bounce on a variety of inflatable play structures. The biggest hits are the roller slides and the boat rides. There are daily rotating painting and craft activities using recycled materials. Many activities are free; others, such as face painting, the bungee trampoline, or T-shirt spray painting, are affordable, as are the prices for food and drinks.

This year, the Mainspiele will once again offer the opportunity to ride the “Harbor Pirate Speedboat.” To ensure that reservations are binding, a fee must be paid to rent the required life jackets. The fee is €8 per life jacket. Tickets can be purchased on-site.
