Bürgerhäuser Dreieich

For centuries, Hayn Castle and its outdoor stage have been known and loved as cultural venues. For six weeks, a diverse program of open-air events—including theater, opera, cabaret, concerts, variety shows, and readings—will take place there against an extraordinary backdrop.

The multi-award-winning actress, singer, and songwriter Katharine Mehrling returns to the Burgfestspiele following her acclaimed Piaf evening last year. This time, she presents her program “Diamonds,” which features songs and chansons from her extensive repertoire. The program includes songs by Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Marilyn Monroe, Astor Piazzolla, songs from Broadway musicals, as well as her own compositions. The exceptional artist is accompanied by her five-piece band.

July 24, 8:00 p.m. (The events of the Dreieichenhain Castle Festival take place outdoors and in all weather conditions. A large portion of the seating area is covered. For audience members in the uncovered sections, rain capes are available upon request and will be distributed at the entrance at the start of the performance.)
