Kultur in Bad Vilbel

The medieval moated castle, located in the middle of the town of Bad Vilbel on the banks of the Nidda, is once again offering a varied program in a historically rustic setting this season. As part of the guest performances on Sundays at twelve, "Mama Shakers" will be performing:

The young and wild "Mama Shakers" from Paris are currently the most successful young jazz group in Europe. Their mixture of hits from the "Roaring Twenties", obscure jazz, blues and country songs as well as the Swedish-French whirlwind Angela Strandberg's own chansons - garnished with polyphonic singing and an incredibly vital stage presence - is unique. The band's incredibly spirited singer and trumpeter has founded a band in the French capital that unites her love of the wild, old jazz of the 20s and 30s and performs it with youthful verve.
