Once a month, Paul Janoschka invites guests from his wide musical circle to a special evening. Sometimes local, sometimes international, sometimes acoustic, sometimes electronic, but always with a changing line-up, new and fresh and in tune with the times. Creating new musical connections, bringing together fresh and established voices - the focus is on the idea of an open, lively jazz community - all in the name of ambitious jazz in Frankfurt. kapelle17 creates and embodies music that becomes something special through the close friendship of the musicians involved. A concert experience that is surprising, unconventional, inviting and captivating.

In the intuitive development of their repertoire, the five musicians share their influences and discoveries and shape tangible musical moods together. The compositions are created collectively and display a diversity reminiscent of art, nature and people. Kapelle17 moves between underground hip-hop, psychedelic rock, pop, fusion, free jazz and avant-garde. Flutes, percussion, synthesizers and effects complete the band's sound - fresh, independent and self-confident.
