Little Dorothy lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry in Kansas. She finds farm life gray, dreary and boring. So she wants nothing more than a world where everything is colorful and everyone sings and laughs. As if by magic, she is hurled by a whirlwind into the magical, colorful and crazy land called Oz. But now she wishes she could get back home.

She gets help from Glinda, the Witch of the North, who advises her to seek out the Great Wizard of Oz. So Dorothy sets off on her journey there and meets a scarecrow who would like to have brains instead of straw in his head, a tin man who would like to have a real heart, and the cowardly lion who wants nothing more than to finally be brave. Dorothy and her three companions have to go through many adventures to finally reach the wizard. An exciting and timeless story with lots of music, about friendship, adventure and what humanity really means.
