Edith Piaf éternelle - Chansons at the Romanfabrik - 2for1-Tickets
"Edith Piaf interpreted the content of her chansons in a moving way like no other - but the extraordinary thing for me was how she managed as a person, after a difficult childhood and many personal tragedies, to become the singer who so powerfully and authentically captivates everyone to this day. No one has ever touched me as much as this courageous little woman who was in truth the greatest," says Barbara Kramer, who is dedicating this evening to the grande dame of French chanson. Together with Broadway composer and pianist Terry Truck - Georgette Dee's long-time accompanist - she sings Piaf's chansons.
Romanist Barbara Kramer was given the leading role in "Les Visiteurs" by French television. The series was a great success, but she became more and more fascinated by music. In Paris, well-known French lyricists and composers wrote chansons for her: The chanson became her home.
