Organ matinée with Markus Stein - in Frankfurt Cathedral - 2for1 tickets
The monthly 30-minute organ matinées at lunchtime in the Imperial Cathedral have become a firm fixture in Frankfurt's musical calendar. Organist Markus Stein plays on the cathedral organ with its 116 stops and around 9000 pipes, making it the largest organ system in Hesse. The program includes works by Craig Sellar Lang, Ralph Vaughan-Williams and Alexandre Guilmant. Markus Stein is Director of the Choir and Orchestra Academy at the Collegium Musicum of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, lecturer in harpsichord and basso continuo playing at the Mainz University of Music and Artistic Director of the Ev. Since September 2025, he has also taken over the direction of the choir at St. Katharinen in Frankfurt until the vacant cantor position is filled.
