Sarah Decker is currently touring with her new quintet Expand and presents her third album "Expand", a multi-faceted work between advanced pop and modern vocal jazz. Decker's warm, versatile voice combines clear melodies with harmonic sophistication and rhythmic complexity, while the album deals with personal experiences and thoughts and demonstrates her artistic sovereignty as a singer, composer and bandleader.

For the first time, Sarah Decker has gathered an all-female band around her. This aspect can certainly be read politically, but was not at the forefront of the decision: "As women are still underrepresented in jazz, I think it's important that we support each other as colleagues and make each other shine. First and foremost, however, I wanted to work with friends with whom I am connected beyond the music." The album title "Expand" refers to the expansion to a quintet as well as Decker's growing artistic sovereignty as a singer, composer and bandleader with an international profile.

The quintet consists of Heidi Bayer (trumpet), Carlotta Ribbe (vibraphone), Tabea Kind (bass) and Michala Østergaard Nielsen (drums).
