Elias Hauck and Dominik Bauer, both born in 1978, have known each other since their school days. They have been working together as a cartoonist duo since 2003. Bauer comes up with the jokes in Frankfurt am Main, Hauck draws them in Berlin. In between, they argue bitterly about wording and facial expressions.

What do therapy dogs do in private? How do you get Germans excited about immigration? And why can't marriages be terminated at the end of the quarter? Hauck & Bauer can't answer these and other questions either - but at least they ask them for once. The cartoonist duo present a new colorful evening in black and white. At their readings, Hauck & Bauer throw their drawings on the wall and the reading and discussion are moderated by the German-Polish writer Artur Becker, who deals intensively with questions of memory, origin and cultural border areas in his work.
