The successful history of the association L'Opera Piccola e. V. Bad Schwalbach at Hohenstein Castle began with the performance of Puccini's "Tosca" on 01.08.2003. Following the unexpected and sudden death of the opera singer and long-time first chairwoman of the association, Romana Vaccaro, L'Opera Piccola would now like to bid farewell with an opera performance in the Kurhaus Bad Schwalbach. The opera with which the story once began and which is also inseparably linked to Romana Vaccaro's favorite role will be performed: "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini. Visitors can expect a full-length classical production with famous international vocal soloists, a large choir, a renowned orchestra and period costumes. As a special highlight, there will be a different cast in the main role for each act, with each individual Tosca interpreter lending the performance a personal touch in memory of Romana Vaccaro. Puccini's "Tosca", an opera in three acts, tells the love story between the singer and prima donna Floria Tosca and the painter Mario Cavaradossi. Triggered by the political balance of power in Rome around the year 1800, a series of dramatic events unfold, with jealousy, love and hatred ultimately leading to a fateful end. Tosca is one of Giacomo Puccini's most popular and most frequently performed operas. The breathtaking plot full of drama and famous arias such as "Recondita armonia", "Vissi d'arte" and "E lucevan le stelle" delight opera lovers time and time again.
