Only by reading a fairy tale does Anodos enter the realm of Faerie - a fantastic parallel world to his own, where nothing is as it seems. Flowers come to life at night, days and places change without transition, the forest is alive - and what's more: evil lurks in it. And at the same time, Anodos encounters the most beautiful creature of all: a lady made of white marble.

But no beauty in Faerie is without horror. The supposed marble lady turns out to be a devious tree creature who promptly lures Anodos into a trap - to Ash, the most evil of all trees, who eats people... Just in time, Anodos is rescued by a Red Knight and from then on travels restlessly through Faerie - in search of the white lady. But the longer Anodos stays in Faerie and the more wondrous creatures cross his path, the more his memory of the real world fades. In the end, there is only one ominous way to return to his own world...

Faerie Wood is an adaptation of the novel "Phantastes. A faerie romance" by George MacDonald from 1858 and is being adapted for the stage and screen for the first time: a film-theater production by Ensemble noctenytor, which combines live stage scenes and cinematically realized plot elements.
