The Lokal Listener: Spooky's Men's Chorale - Music & Talk at the Romanfabrik - 2for1-Tickets
A cappella madness: Spooky Men's Chorale is a huge, rumbling, steam-powered and black-clad vocal giant from Australia that captivates the audience with its foolish profundity within seconds. Just over a year ago, they sold out the Bonifatiuskirche in Sachsenhausen with over 400 people and got them going wild, and now they are returning to Frankfurt and simply putting this KonzertTalk with host Gregor Praml one day ahead.
The Spooky Men were founded in 2001 by New Zealand-born "spook master" Stephen Taberner. He is not only a great choir director and arranger, but also a gifted bass player. The LOKAL Listener takes a look behind the scenes of this band of men from Australia, who perform a surprising round of songs and themes with grotesque humor, mature a cappella harmony and strange headgear. Or the whole thing in one sentence: men who sing songs, some of them funny.
