His voice, his self-stylization and his eventful life story inspired author Monika Hempel to go in search of traces, talk to friends and companions and search through archives and Nomi's personal estate. In Klaus Nomi - Stimme im Orbit (published by Andreas Reiffer), she tells the extraordinary life story of the singer born Klaus Sperber and sheds light on why his voice still speaks to us after countless revolutions in orbit.
